Depends if it is an international or domestic ticket. Up to 24 hours is valid connection on international ticket but only 4 on domestic.

I am testing again tomorrow out of LHR-YYZ(7 hours overnight)-YOW(12 hours)-YEG. The overnight ones give the most heartburn but if you get it noted on your file, it usually is OK. There are so many SE certificates now that it is not a problem for SEs to just surrender another and forget it. I don't even bother with the principle any more. It's not worth the rage. For Elites it might be more problematical due to a shortage of certificates for international.

I have written after though and it is quite clear that it is "origin to destination including connections"
