If not for that extension, I probably would have done a bunch of Mattress Runs to requalify since I do value Hyatt Diamond. I'm also SPG Platinum but would not try to maintain that if they didn't have "worthwhile" promos.
I earned Hyatt Diamond status again the old fashioned way bu++ in bed because as it stands today it's the best program I have tied with Royal Amassador
I can understand those that are highly disappointed the promotional aspects of Hyatt this year were simply shocking it's a different company and I have simply lowered my expectations in trade for a better program
Earning Spg Platinum is a cinch as I have 2 Spg Amex cards consumer and
business that earns me 4 stay credits per year towards status
Added to that all rewards stays count towards elite status including cash and points!
I hate to say it however the program is to easy to earn status
in fact I am here at the St Regis in Dana Point where there is Zero Recognition like i booked the room on Priceline!I would be thrilled to be at Hyatt Irvine or Hyatt Huntington Beach
Hyatt Diamond recognition typically rocks!
The program redemption has and continues to devalue, promotions at a historical low however the program recognition and benefits in full service properties continues to be brilliant^
