The normal daypass, purchased at the AC, has no flight requirements, which is why the boarding pass isn't checked. I have no idea what is in the terms and conditions of the free daypasses OP received from Citibank. There might be a requirement for an onward flight on AA. The pass might be restricted to only the individual named on the pass. Presumably, the OP has closely and carefully checked the terms and conditions of the daypasses in her possession, but I'm not sure why she would be asking this question in that case.
