Recently returned from a trip to Asia. Flight segments were YYT-YYZ, YYZ-HKG, HKG-BKK and BKK-NRT, NRT-YYZ, YYZ-YYT on the return.

Booked through AC website Tango plus full economy fare $1830.01.

Flight segments from HKG-BKK and BKK-NRT were codeshare with Thai airways booking class Tango Plus W on my itinerary when booking.

Checked my AP account after a few days when home and noticed points and status miles for all except my HKG-BKK and BKK-NRT codeshare flights with Thai Airways. Called AP and was told that these segments were not AP point eligible because Thai Air converted these flights to booking class V which is not eligible for points.

Nowhere in the booking process did it state that tis would be the case, the fare type were listed as Tango plus W and the flights were AC6129 and AC6125. How would I possibly know that these would not be points eligible?
