Per the T&C for gift cards on the aa.com site:
AA Gift Cards are also available for payment of air travel on any oneworldŽ partner or AA* Codeshare flight.
Be careful as there are some other restrictions on use such as can't use these to pay for upgrades or baggage fees. Refer to the full T&C at
