The TSA currently uses two types of body scanners -- x-ray and millimeter wave -- for its security checks. The x-ray ones have raised health concerns, but the safer, millimeter wave version has been found to have high false-alarm rates (to the point that sweat is sometimes interpreted as a possible threat on the machine).
Germany and France have already nixed millimeter wave body scanners. Should the U.S. follow suit?
