The curtain in Superliners are more likely to be the thicker variety. The issue isn't light leaking past the crevice at the end of the curtain, it's that the material in question is so thin that the light actually penetrates it.
Not true on my sleeping car. As for the upper bunk, I decided to flip it down and put all the luggage there that I brought on the train. Got it out of the way. If I had a traveling companion, we would have had to figure something different out.
Did I mention the champagne I was given at the originating station? And the chocolates? Wonder which class on a plane gets complimentary champagne and chocolates.
