Regarding safety, who knows? The exit signs and emergency lights really didn't work so who knows if the alarms were going to work...Please read the following post here; it seems the hotel won't call until someone has actually see the fire him/herself!

Fires although rare, is a concern.. but with so many in the hotel, I'm sure there would be stark evidence something very wrong would be happening..

Probably went through 20+ false alarms over the years..

Thats good that the hotel didn't charge you for the night, nor should they have..

The exit signs and emergency functions should have been on backup.. unusual that this was not the case..
