Total Newbie to Emirates so apologies for any false assumptions I may have gleaned from searching this forum.
My company is likely to sign up a new client with offices in Singapore and Hong Kong. As part of the agreement they wish to stipulate that we use J on Emirates as part of their corporate travel arrangements. In looking at the fares they have been quoted, they easily undercut our own route deals with LH/LX, so it looks like that's the way we'll go.
In looking through this forum there are several not very complimentary comments on the service/seats etc on the BHX-DXB route, but nothng I could see on the MCR-DXB. As both airports are equally convenient to me does anyone have any insight into which may be 'better' in terms of service?
or should I consider departing from LHR?

By MCR, I assume that you mean Manchester airport which is actually MAN.
J from BHX is a total rip off( as you dont know what you are going to get)
I would suggest the EK 18 from MAN which is usually an A380. I said 'usually' because Emirates has a wide variety of aircraft and are well known for doing last minute equipment changes.
EK 20 ex MAN is showing up as a 777-300 ER (But I have never been on it before)
Avoid EK 22 ex MAN as it is a 332 ( I've been on EK 22 once and never again.
In J
all A380 J seats are good J seats
Most (if not all???) 777-300-ER seats are good J seats.
The rest is down to lady luck
