Continental has merged with United and there will be only one airline going forward. All CO miles and status will be integrated into a single program with all UA miles and status. For most, other than a change in names and branding, this merger should mean little. Weather or not the new merged airline is best for you is a much more involved discussion and depends on many parameters (where are you flying, how much, what benefits are you looking for, ...)
