Its quite common when all the transatlantics are coming in through Ockham rather than part Ockham part Bovingdon. Although I've had it happen the other way too.

I'm sure on of the people who know the full reasons will be along in a bit but I guess it evens out the flow onto final approach into a North/South/North/South order.
