Would Turkish Airlines pay for a hotel in such a case? I mean, of course I could travel only on Saturday, but it is strange the system allows this scenario

Can anyone confirm if a passenger connecting to TK8000 (MH-operated flight to KUL) is eligible for a free hotel room? I will be flying in Business Class from Chicago with a 23-hr layover in IST and I'm thinking if I should just save the hassle and book my own room in the city. Thanks for your help.
