HA! Yup TD wasn't happy at all. While it did get sorted out with receipts, faxes and a branch visit, to have my account frozen 2 days before I left for a month in Europe was gut-wrenching.
I have done this a few times with my WF PB account when something I bought at Nordstrom or Saks that didn't look quite as good the next day and I didn't want to give up the miles.
WF has never given me a problem about the credits when there was no corresponding debit.
