Not all hotel programs divide their promos according to calerndar quarters.

Choice, Best Western, and WyndhamRewards all have promos going on now that started in December and run through the end of January or early February, and thus are part Q4 2011 and part Q1 2012.

Even Marriott's promos (that you mention) are not neatly aligned Q1. They end Apr 30, which is 1 month into Q2. And the points promo doesn't start until February 1 (only the miles promo starts January 1). So the points promo is only 2/3 Q1 and 1/3 Q2.

The only hotel program I can think of that consistently does 4 quarterly promos a year each aligned with calendar quarters is Hilton HHonors.
