IMO, it's not about gaming the system in order to get the suite to which you may or may not be entitled. If you really need/want a suite, Keyser is 100% spot on. PLT bennies vary somewhat from region to region, and hotel to hotel (in addition to the published ones, of course). As we know, the final assignment of available suites for PLT upgrades rests with the individual hotel. Thus, as I have said several times before, if you're a regular at the hotel, introduce yourself to some members of senior management. Having them know who you are and that you are a regular guest is probably the most effective thing you can do to move yourself up higher on the upgrade list. And BTW, do it nicely and subtly. Tell them that the reason for wanting to meet was that you stay regularly with them and you wanted to attach a face to the name, or something like that. You should start to see results soon enough.
