MR can/does do status extensions depending upon the situation and attitude of the agent & customer. There are some from the old school that still want to provide good customer service and others that will do the least possible to get by.

Unfortunately there is no guarantee what you'll get so best to study the rules and play their game. Exceptions are always possible.
