yea definitely agree with sts603, give them a buzz today. This is just ridiculous. Gate agents definitely have a lot of power. In a situation i faced last year, i was traveling with a cousin on the same itinerary, with a connection at DFW from LGA. We tried to standby on an earlier flight at LGA but were unsuccessful in getting 2 seats. However, in doing this the agent at LGA split my records, hence my cousins no longer inheriting my EXP status and priority. Found this out when we tried to standby for an earlier connection at DFW. The gate agent saw this and told me that they do have 2 seats, however, only I will make it since there is a PLT next in line. She noticed that the record was split earlier that morning for no reason. She called the supervisor had it fixed and gave me the 2 seats instead of the PLT. Agreed i felt a lil bad for the PLT, but it shouldn't have come to that to begin with.
