As to debit card billing fraud, you were darn lucky. With a debit card you have very, very little legal protection--with a credit card, a whole lot more. Your bank did okay, but, overall, debit card users are not even close to being properly protected. Not to mention the lack of extended warranty, car rental collision protection, etc.
