Sorry but you're incorrect and
adrianjc32 has got it right.
We do not have to offload you before proceessing an upgrade, not at all. In fact it's the opposite - you
must be checked in before the upgrade can be done. If we call for the upgrade, FMU tell us we must check in the passenger first (into their current cabin) before they can do anything.
You may have had a bad experience
