My main concern is can a snow storm put hitting EXP at risk due to rescheduled flights? Or so long as I have the flights booked means that I'm flying that route (at a potentially very delayed time).

And would AA put up passengers in hotels due to weather, or would that be out of my pocket?

Thanks!
Yeah, I'd say 1 hour turns are pretty risky, especially if they're purchased as two separate tickets as they would need to be for DEQ11. Since they're not the same ticket, if you get back to SFO on the first rt late by an hour, AA would have completed its end of the bargain by getting you to SFO on that ticket, just an hour late. AA isn't really responsible for making sure you are compensated or accommodated for the next one, since you did miss the outbound on a completely independent itinerary. It could also result in the whole ticket being canceled.

And as Flyer_70 said, you could have weather issues at both ORD and SFO, two major headache airports (with SFO being more painful coming from LAX) to me.
