Requalified for Gold last week. Being in PDX, I do a lot of transcons on DL, so was well over 50k BIS miles. Too bad AS doesn't get the revenue for those, since they don't offer more transcons from PDX. Not sure what 2012 may hold, and not sure I'll requal for Gold, but may have to a HI trip - or two to fill in the gaps.

Side note: am I the only one who thinks it silly that if I've already qualifed for Gold with 50k+ AS/partner miles, that AS would re-set the thermometer such that I would only have to fly 25k in AS miles to get 75k? It's almost like they want me to requalify for Gold before getting to 75k.
