I think we overanalyzed the OP's question. Gate-checked bags/strollers will be given to you at the connecting city. The only wrinkle would be if the OP is on a multi-stop and not getting off at the first point. Then, the OP needs to make sure that the stroller is gate-checked to the proper destination.
