So when I was growing up I knew a pilot for AA and as I have always been so interested in flying he used to tell me a ton. I remembered him telling me how they would start on small planes and work there ways up to the big guns. His goal was always to make the 757 which he did.

So it got me thinking. Are CO 737 pilots trying to advance further normally in there careers beyond that aircraft; to the 757 or even the 767 or 777.

Would on average a 757 pilot for CO have more experience vs somehow who flys the CO 737?

I know its a weird question but just got me thinking and figured if there was an answer someone on here would know it.
