Not sure if this has any bearing on your plans: Jan 22nd is Chinese New Year's Eve. The few days prior and after Chinese New Year are insane for traveling due to Toronto's large Asian population. The week afterwards (Jan 27th) is Winterlicious which also has its own problems & attractions.
Also, there's another thread on a 2011 year-end YYZ-do, can these be merged since we're referring to the same event?
