The best part about Indy is that it is about an hour away from Bloomington, the home of Indiana University. It's the most beautiful place in Indiana (I'm not toooo biased about my former school). As for Indy, it's really a nice city - you need a car to get around because it is sprawled out but it is relatively inexpensive compared to Chicago and it has a lot to offer. The people there are nice and friendly - it's that "Hoosier" thang. All in all, if I couldn't be in Chicago, I'd certainly settle for Indy if I had to be in the Midwest (that's s'posed to be a compliment).
