Feedback: Opted for the "safe way" and had 1h30 connection.

Arrived on Malev by shuttle bus. As you enter the arrival area, a stair/elevator leads up to the departures. As this was Schengen to Schengen connection, no immigration booths and no additional security screening (security screening was done at originating airport in Germany). Had to get BP from gate, as there is no LH/LX (*?) transfer desk. Total time elapsed from deboarding to dep gate 10 - 12 mins.

I would say a 40 min connection, especially on or between LH/LX is definitley doable. More so, as full-size LH/LX jets dock at the gate. In the case of RJs a bus ride is most likely invovled.

Incidentially, MA docks at the gate, but then uses stairs & shuttle buses ???
