BA usually do have a sale just after Christmas, I've snapped up some good WT+ fares to the west coast and done a MFU to CW, would departure dates of sale fares go as far in advance as the dates you want, honestly I can't answer that.

October November 2012 is a long way off, so I see no harm in waiting a couple of weeks and seeing what the sale brings up. Infact I see no need at all for you to jump in and book right away, unless you get quoted a bargain fare.
