It sounds like the Sheraton is our best hotel for the following reasons:
1. Right after the Lakers/Raptors game on 2/12 we have to get to YYZ for our 5pm flights, and the Express Shuttle comes to the Sheraton.
2. Sheraton has a Club Lounge.
IMO, you're going to miss your flight.
The Raptors game starts at 1 pm. If the game ends at 3:30, and you get out of ACC quickly, and you jog, you might get your luggage out of the Sheraton Centre by 3:45.
The Airport "Express" bus (it's a big bus, it's not a shuttle van) leaves the Sheraton Centre at :10 and at :40. So you'd get on the 4:10 bus. After that, this bus continues on its route, making 3 more stops at other hotels downtown, including the Westin Harbour Castle at 4:40, then arrives at YYZ at 5:15. You said your flight to the US is at 5 pm.
If you stay at the Harbour Castle, or at least you checked your luggage there, you'd have at least 40 minutes less wasted time when you're trying to make your flight.

About the Toronto Airport Express bus: I don't know why there are so many posters here trying to help you find a cheap way of travelling in Toronto.
Instead of spending $40 on the airport "express", just share a $60 cab.
