May also depend on your current points balance? (This is what you're potentially leveraging with continuing 2-fers each year so should factor into the decision IMO).

There are still ways and means of hitting $30K for free post-Mint.

I live on the East Coast, so my BA redemption levels have actually come down and I also have 500K BA miles in the bank, so I'm happily keeping mine.
