No matter you are checkin or not for the NH flight, once you landed from whatever CO-UA flight, just go to the NH transfer counter to obtain NH boarding pass, you don't need to go out immigration to the NH ticket counter at NRT.
Also, if you have a checked luggage UA-CO>NH, the bag will check all the way thru to the final destination.
