I would definitely go to PBI. If you like shopping and dining, catch a cab to CityPlace, which is only a couple of miles from the airport. Lots of good dining options (Cheesecake Factory, Taverna Opa, McCormick, to name a few) and a lot of good stores. I don't fly much out of FLL, but I do like the SC at PBI. A little smaller than most, but I've never found it overflowing.
