Hand baggage is getting ridiculous these days.... a laptop bag is never a laptop bag. its a giant wheelie porfolio bag with an ipad in it.

The rules state one cabin bag and a personal bag. I have seen people (try to) take two wheelies then claim they need it.

Hand luggage is for what you need on the flight onboard during the flight and not for your whole trip.

People should be fairer to their fellow passengers and if everyone was fair, their would be enough space.

The locker above your head is usually for between 3 and 9 peoeple (depending on the type of aircraft)

There is a new hand baggage enforcement being carried at at LHR as well sunrisegirl, especially on certain flights such as ACC LOS ABV and some US and canadian flights as well.

Excessive hand baggage causes delays at the gate and all passengers need to be aware of this.

|The bag will be taken at the gate regardless. At the moment there is no charge. If people carry on bringing as many bags as they can get away with then it will make it worse for everyone.

The company is realisiing that it is losing revenue for passengers that take excess hand baggage through to the gate that was not produced or hidden at check in and the bags will be taken and charged for prior to getting to the gate.

Their also possible plans in the future to charge for excess hand luggage airside for transfer passengers and also people that made it through security that should not have.

BA's allowance is generous enough as it is... remember when it used to only be 6kgs for one bag in economy!?? Today that would be impossible
