if you ever get your luggage in a reasonable period of time, open it and check the temps of the liquids. although i have never had anything frozen, that stuff is very cold.

the hold has to get heat from somewhere, as ambient at 35000 ft is about -50F. i had thought the pass cabin exhaust air was dumped into the cargo hold, but did not know for certain.

flew muc-blq a number of times with tarmack check. the luggage was thrown in the open back of the plane under the tail, and a luggage net was pulled over it. (no dogs)
