I had exactly the same problem last week on a bmi flight. Number in booking but only "BDP" shown during OLCI.

Called ICC, they confirmed number was correct and showing...(but didn't address the actuall issue regarding *G)

Collected new (real) boarding pass at check-in, BDP still showed. Mentioned this to Check-in staff and they re-issused the boarding pass with *G shown.

Return flight had the same problem but wasn't much I could do about it at the outstation.
