I flew on the A380 for the first time in April of this year and oh gosh it was so much better than the 747 that I'd flown on the year before. Not that the 747 was bad, but the A380 was a world of difference. There was tons of space between my seat and the window (I took 77K in both flights) so I was able to really have some good elbow space. I did think the seats were a little tight but that's normal.

The thing I admired the most? The QUIET, SMOOTH ride. I didn't feel a BIT of turbulence and when we had taken off, I didn't feel a thing. And landing? Didn't feel a thing either. Both times, I turned to the person sitting next to me and said "that's it? we're landed?"

I was very impressed (needless to say) and it was so much better than any jet I'd flown on before. Oh, and I liked the increased aisle space too. No more carts bumping into the aisle seat person. That was nice. I enjoyed the extremely good in-flight entertainment but the quietness and smoothness was what won me over.

A lot of people complain about the leg space or rather the lack thereof but I didn't have a problem, although I am an average sized female.

As for the lines...it's going to be busy no matter what you do. Yes, the ONLY thing I didn't like was that there were a whole heck of a lot more people but on the flip side of that, the comfort I experienced was worth it.
