I really enjoyed Delta Diamond this year.. but was on the path to make Platinum, as I had a few months off of traveling.... was sitting last weekend looking at my account and tried to think how I could possibly due to this. Thanks to fellow FlyerTalk Posters for their help..

Here's what I did

I booked a RDU to Rome in M class 0 used systemwide upgrades to give me the MQM bump to 7533 from ATL- ROM. only downside was that my personal entrainment system did not not have audio. Got an extra 750 for the short hop from RDU to ATL.. Rome back to Atlanta in M class- used systemwide upgrade for 7533 MQMs then an addition 750 MQMs.. I then took advantage of the new MQM said.. for the additional 10,000 that I need for Diamond.

Not sure what you guys think...am a I crazy???? I felt pretty dumb when when i was sitting outside the Vatician by myself-- but it seems to have worked out,... I am sure I could do this cheaper.. I had to pay 2300 for the rome flight used the coupon for the bum... now I need to pay Delta or the 10000 qms

So guys and girs tell me what you think -- 2300+ 900 for MQM, plus ground transport to get the airpot and taxis inside ROme-- they weren't chat
