I usually fly on Star Alliance, but have to go to Dublin tomorrow with Delta (JFK-DUB).
On reservation - I purchased Economy Comfort upgrade ($80 one way).
On online Check-In - I was now offered to upgrade to busines class for $299 (one way), which sounds like a great deal for me!

My question - is this a common upgrade offer with Delta? and was is it related to the $80 economy purchase i did? (i.e. would other passegners not in Economy comfort were also offered this upgrade in the same price) ?

Any catch I'm not aware off
