No. You transit - its counted.
Similarly flying QF/BA flights LHR-SYD/MEL are treated as touching Asia (even if a single plane service)

Can you fly JNB-SYD.
ie Africa-SWP-Asia-SthAmerica-Africa

Edit: My reading skills have obviously deteriorated.
Very surprised LAN does not fly to Africa.
(and neither does TAM)
