Be careful, Australia restricts the import or duty free liquids no bought at the last stopover and not checked in the hold. The easiest solution is to buy your duty free on arrival when you get to Australia, the prices may not be so good but it will be a lot cheaper than having it confiscated! liquids carried on board are subject to LAG restrictions, UNLESS the liquids are properly sealed in tamper proof packaging, or cannot have been interfered with.
Singapore uses tamper proof packaging and delivers at the gate. in Dallas the duty free is delivered at the gate (unsealed). I know in china they have tamper proof bags at the duty free shops, you just need to check these will satisfy any gate checks for liquids (the duty free shop will advise).
the price of alcohol is so high in Australia. even on arrival, that it makes sense to buy it duty free at Asian stopover points if at all possible. (note that at least until recently hong kong and Bangkok will not sell alcohol for Australia flights).
