I also am kinda on the same boat. Transferred from Amex got silver. Flew over 25k got Gold. Then got the higher status promo (flew 3 roundtrips) and got Platinum. I currently have 53,000 mqms. I know the 3,000 will not carry over to 2012, however if I fly 30k miles in 2012 will that rollover to qualifying at least for silver in 2013. My Platinum is going to last until feb 2013. I am thinking if I should just use rewards in 2012 or revenue tickets and earn mqms in 2012.
