I have a car and can help some with carpooling/ridesharing. Separately, I have been working in San Diego with some transportation and border related issues, so I can help answer questions you may have.

Quick note on going to Mexico: you need a social security card, birth certificate, or passport as proof of US citizenship-- a drivers license is _not_ enough, although lots of people believe it is. Just a tip.
