I was very pleasantly surprised on just checking my FIL's CW flight I booked for him for next July, EDI-LHR-YYZ on the BA 99 and noticed that it has now changed from a 777 to a mid-J 747 (although MMB still shows it as a 777)
I checked it very recently and looks like it is back for the 2012 summer schedule. ^
On another note he is a single traveller and the usual 63JK, 64 ABJK are open so is it worth purchasing his seat?? Maybe that will be his Christmas present from us, a seat on the UD

He is returning in WTP so I wouldnt bother buying a seat for him for that segment.
The LD is wide open atm. 60B is also showing as available but I thought this was for status passengers although I am aware it is sometimes used for a crew rest seat on long haul which I thought wouldn't be the case for a relatively 'short' LH.
