AMERICAS – Fairmont Hotels and Resorts has bolstered its green credentials with the recent installation of electric vehicle charging stations at three of its hotels in British Columbia.

The eco-friendly initiative is in partnership with GE Energy Services. The Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver, The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and The Fairmont Empress in Victoria now have charging stations available for guests’ use.

Drivers swipe a card, plug in and fully charge their vehicles in four to eight hours, depending on the size of the vehicle’s battery. Additionally, guests who arrive at the hotels in hybrid or electric cars will be rewarded with complimentary valet parking for the duration of their stay (a value of over US$40).
