I wasn't confused in thinking the econ+ is a separate cabin. It was just that I didn't get the F seats from the J award booking and got an econ seat, so was hoping at least there will be some choice and would be nice to get the econ+ seats.
Those F seats in the domestic 2-class config are no better than the AC's J seats. To say you need to redeem F award to get those is a rip-off.
For econ+, there's 5" extra legroom, but no difference in food other than people get served first by being at the front of the econ section.
