So I noticed that in Doha airport the water has a particular scent. It's very apparent when you shower in the lounges. Yesterday I was in Florence, Italy, and I noticed that the city's water has that smell as well.

Of all the cities I've been to, only these two have this particular smell.

Anyone else noticed it as well? What is the chemical compound that's causing it?
