I personally found the SPG card the most difficult card I've ever applied for from any bank.

I've had dozens of CCs over the years including various Amex cards including the Platinum and STILL could not get approved for the SPG card. Finally got it a few months ago on the third try....I have no idea why this card is so difficult to get. It's the only card in the past ~5 years I've been denied for.
