There's some other threads on this as well. I've flown that route 3 times now. Definitely miss mainline, and I wish Austin and Chicago would enforce the yellow tag valet service.

According to one of the AUS gate agents, they also confirmed it's just "for a few months". This guy, who I've found to be rude in the past was making many complaints about having to complain about handling bags now. It was inappropriate:

"You guys think these small planes stink, think about us, I'm not paid to handle bags." Piss, moan, sigh.
