To get original routing credit, you'll need to call in and get it manually processed. Not sure about OnePass, but Mileage Plus can do it right over the phone and credit the miles right away.
As far as pursuing hotel voucher, since WX was the primary reason why the flight was delayed, it seemed valid. Effectively, you probably wouldn't have made the flight even without the door hinge issue. You can complain, but given the new customer service attitude, you'll get a "we're so sorry" letter but that's about it.
