Orbitz, Expedia, Hotels.com, etc. It is only possible to book a room, not what one wants. Who knows what you are getting re smoking rooms. Will a n/s get a smoking room or will a smoker be stuck in a n/s room? Frankly all are useless for booking a smoking room so I avoid these sites.

This needs to be rectified (some 19% of Americans still smoke) and please no peanut comments on giving up! Save the lectures.

The only way I know of is booking with chains that actually still permit this indulgence. Some Hiltons, IC, HIs etc.

Considering that over 80% of the potential customer base is not a cig smoker I doubt there is a burning need to have this rectified.

Besides when a hotel says you will get a double room if you book through an engine then a double room is what you get.

They do not say though that you will always get a queen bed. The reason being that the Queen bed rooms may be gone when you check in.

The same with smoking rooms. Especially since over 80% of the US adult population is a non-tobacco smoker its not like any major hotel chain is going to have all smoking rooms.

This would have been easier when 50% of the US adult population were regular tobacco smokers. Not really all that long ago.

Bundle up----it can be cold out there.
