Myself, I'm not a big seat recliner. I usually recline my seat just ever so slightly so I'm not seated perfectly upright. Still, while I would prefer the passenger in front of me not to fully recline their seats, I don't begrudge them (or harbor hostility towards them) if they do so. It's their prerogative to do so, or not.
If you want to vent your displeasure towards anyone, vent it towards the airline for not providing enough room between the rows of seats. The passenger in front of you did not do anything wrong by reclining his or her seat even on a short haul flight.
Well... let me say that seat reclining folks do not infuriate me. They do have the right to recline their seat. I don't sit there and steam.
I guess I feel if I recline my seat, I am invading what little space the person has behind me and am making them less comfortable. I am being considerate to them. To me, it's a little inconsiderate to recline your seat without even looking who is behind you.
I brought it up today as the woman in front of me today, who was in the first row, was reclined nearly to my knees. I dont know if the seat was broken or if the front row reclines more but I was staring at her scraggly head for an hour. She knew she was almost at my knees. She could have at least had some consideration. Just a personal feeling.
